DAY 01: CUSCO – CLOUD FOREST – LODGE

It is necessary to leave Cusco early in order to reach the cloud forest - traveling through Andean landscapes of great beauty, with deep valleys, highlands, rural communities and picturesque colonial towns such as Paucartambo, which has been the gateway to the Manu forests since pre-Hispanic times. Acjanaco pass ( 3,850 m.a.s.l) marks the official entrance to Manu National Park. From here the road descends to the cloud forest, passing the important ecosystem comprised of Andean grassland, where vegetation is sparse, before reaching the cloud forest in the afternoon. This is a very rich area in terms of flora and fauna, the habitat of the Cock-of-the-Rock (Rupicula peruviana), Quetzal, Blue-crowned motmot, Toucans, Spectacled Bear (South America's only bear), White-tailed deer, butterflies, ferns and orchids. We will spend the first night in our  typical  Lodge. showers  and  toilets  available

DAY 02: PILCOPATA - ATALAYA – BOCA MANU

After   breakfast,  the bus transfers the group to the port of Atalaya. The rest of the day is spent traveling on the Alto Madre de Dios River. On the way you can see a variety of bird life, like herons, egrets, kingfishers, and the ever present vultures of which the most spectacular is the condor of the jungle, King Vulture (Sarcoramphus papa).capybaras,eagels,hawks, etc. In the afternoon a short stop at the village of Boca Manu to have refreshing cold beverage. Later on the group arrives to the Lodge near the Boca Manu. Walks explore some of the many trails in the area. Night in Lodge. Showers and toilets available.

Day 3 BOCA MANU – OTORONGO LAKE

The boat trip goes on and one will be able to understand why Manu is so famous for its wildlife. On the river edges you will be able to observe groups of turtles, White Caimans (Caiman cocodrylus), Capybaras (Hydrochaeris) and maybe a Jaguar (Panthera Onca) resting on a log and observing its territory. Arriving in the afternoon to our campsite in Otorongo. We will the only agency camping there. Later on visiting the trails around the Otorongo Oxbow Lake and the giant otter observation tower together with the guide to learn the functions and secrets of the tropical rainforest. SAFARI CAMPING (in bed with mosquitos net). Showers and toilets available

DAY 04: OTORONGO LAKE – SALVADOR LAKE

Today the group visit another oxbow lake called Salvador,which is half an hour boat trip from Otorongo. Here paddling silently on a Catamaran, you have again possibilities to observe a family of giant otters fishing and playing, black caimans and many different rare bird life like the Hoatzins (Opisthocomus hoatzin). Here in Manu the animals have never suffered hunting pressure from man. In the afternoon we return to our campsite in Otorongo. . SAFARI CAMPING   (in bed and mosquito net). Showers and toilets available.

DAY 05: OTORONGO LAKE – BOCA MANU

The call of the Red Howler monkeys (Alouatta seniculus) will wake us up. After a delicious breakfast we unfortunately need to start our return. On Manu River, the group might see many different animals, they did not find on the way. In the afternoon the group arrives to Boca Manu LODGE.. Lodge with showers and toilet.

DAY 06: BOCA MANU – AMAZON LODGE

In the morning we will continues  by boat river up of the  alto Madre de Dios on the way we will see  again others species of birds . is possible to go to  aguas  calientes  to have  a swim. In the afternoon  we will arrive to our Amazon lodge .in the  evening  after dinner we can have  a night  walk to see  nocturnal  animals . Night in lodge shower and toilets available.(note. Please this day is good day to read)

DAY 07: AMAZON LODGE – CUSCO

Early in the morning  we  can visit  the  parrot  clay lick where parrots  gather in a  multicolored  spectacles. then  after  breakfast we unfortunately will come back by boat until Atalaya, where the bus wait for us to return to Cusco, visiting the cloud forest again. Arrival in the afternoon
